This year's theme of the Conference with International Participation is "Socially Accountable Use of New Knowledge and Advanced Technologies".

1st session: AGRICULTURE

eco farming,  hidden opportunities of rural areas, management in agriculture, marketing  services and products, advantages and disadvantages of new technology implementations in agriculture, computer literacy development in agriculture, landscape architecture in rural areas, sources of farms' income,  education for the countryside development, agricultural economy, sustainable development of rural areas, human capital in agriculture, potetentials of development, social entrepreneurship, direct sales, partnerships in agriculture, apiculture, biodynamics, permaculture, healthy food – healthy people, medicinal herbs, modern farmer's competencies, socially accountable use of new knowledge and advanced technologies, indicators of economic, social and environmental influence of organization.

2nd session: ENVIRONMENTALISM

alternative sources of energy,  waste, marketing services and products,  invasive plants in local environment, invasive animal species in local environment, environmental education significance for society,  raising level of awareness, energy efficiency, environmental impacts, green economy and sustainable development, protected areas, mountain trails, technological solutions, ICT, preservation of the landscape from the perspective of environmentalism, soil ecology, environmentalism as a problem of rural or urban areas, acting on a local level, is ecology ideology?, water – source of life, usage, socially accountable use of new knowledge and advanced technologies, indicators of economic, social and environmental influence of organization.

3rd session: HORTICULTURE AND FLORISTICS​ 

horticulture, floristics, landscape architecture, co-natural landscape architecture, decorative plants appropriate for landscape planting, entrepreneurship, marketing services and products, arrangement of the outdoor living environment exerts influence on arrangement of internal living environment, flowers and culture of the Slovenes, entrepreneurial opportunities for the young generation, arrangement of the living environment, development of tourism in rural areas, urban horticulture, arboristics, horticulture and dwelling culture, innovations in decorative plants production, quality of horticultural plants, significance of professional education in the field of horticulture, horticulture as art, applied horticulture, healthy life style in tidy environment, socially accountable use of new knowledge and advanced technologies, indicators of economic, social and environmental influence of organization.

4th session: FOOD PRODUCTION AND PROCESSING AND NUTRITION

innovativness in food processing, alimentation of various social classes, food products marketing, marketing services and products, healthy nutrition for healthy life style, healthy life style promotion, home brand, production and processing – a challenge for supplemental activities,  safety  in  food production chain, nutrition and modern society, technologies, products development and marketing, marketing roads and sales tools for produce and products,  nutrition and  sports, logistics, protection of food,  socially accountable use of new knowledge and advanced technologies, indicators of economic, social and environmental influence of organization.

  • 4th April 2018: Authors' notification with the abstracts submission and their papers' placement into sessions (E-submission); extended deadline to 26th June 2018!
  • 16th August 2018: Submission of papers
  • 7th September 2018: Notes and remarks of reviewers to authors
  • 26th September 2018: Submission of supplemented papers, payment of the conference fee
  • 26th October 2018: VIVUS Conference with International Participation: Presentation of papers with the posters or in sessions, marking the 10th anniversary of Biotechnical Centre Naklo Higher Vocational College.

E-submission and payment of fees are mandatory for all participants of conference.

  • Participants: 75,00 EUR
  • Authors of the papers: 105,00 EUR
  • Co-authors of the papers: 75,00 EUR
  • Students under age of 27: Free admission (with a confirmation of a student status).
