Reading Mountains Festival 2019

Reading Mountains Festival 2019

The Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention invites you to participate in the 5th edition of the Reading Mountains Festival. This literary festival celebrates the cultural diversity of the Alps on and around International Mountain Day, 11 December.

Wednesday 11 December 2019

The events (can) take place on or around International Mountain Day, 11 December 2019.

A wide variety of literary events (like poetry-slams, interactive lectures, book presentations by sunrise, literary high teas, workshops or exhibitions combined with folk music or local food, ….) take place at the same time in the entire Alpine area and (far) beyond, all of which have one thing in common: celebrating the linguistic and cultural diversity of the Alps under the umbrella of the Alpine Convention.

More information about our initiative can be found here.
We would be delighted if you or your reading club, climbing federation, mountain association, school, library, etc. would also organize or attend an event and thus become part of #ReadingMountains!

Note: The Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention provides promotional material (stickers, posters, bookmarks, fanfold booklets and visibility in e.g. a special Newsletter dedicated to the event) to the participants only for those who have their event registered before 1 December 2019.
